In my opinion, unless your reference to colonizing space and seed vaults was tongue and cheek, I fail to see the correlation between that, Noah and the end of the world.

The end of the world will surely happen but it will be Gods will and not the will of man or by man making a foolish mistake. To think otherwise is to say that man has the ability to circumvent or speed up Gods plan. Man will surely play a part in the eventual collapse but it will be through the hand of God that these things happen.

Likewise, attempts by man, such as colonizing space etc. to stall the coming of the inevitable is a futile effort and much like the tower of Babble.

The only way to preserve man and all of mankind is through eternal life which has nothing to do with this short vacation we call physical life on this earth. Jesus Christ is the everlasting house of seeds, the space vehicle to the new colony, the hope and promise to us all.

Joe, You're right, of course. My comments about colonizing space and seed vaults was not so much tongue in cheek as it was to show that many people are aware that the end of the world is a possibility.

I see your point John, and most Christians believe that we are in the last days. The Bible does say that no one knows the time -not even the Angels, but we are given signs and prophecy to recognize that the end is near.
I heard you on Coast to Coast A.M. last night; It was very interesting! ( wish I could have stayed awake to here it all!)

If I may, I would like to send you an interesting DVD, of a man who filmed on site of Biblical locations and claims to have found many specific things -- including the ark...I'm curious what you would think of it. You can email me if you like.

how did they build anything with no tools , it was 5,000 years ago and one family couldn't have cut-riped-planed lumber for a boat, ive had logged timber it takes more than a dozen people to move large logs. they had no saws no nothing .cant do all this with rock axes or rock saws. Bob

Bob, Ancient people were a lot more advanced that we sometimes think they were. Look at the pyramids, for instance. You may be interested in a book a friend of mine, Don Landis, wrote, "The Genius of Ancient Man." It's published by Master Books, ISBN is 978-0-89051-677-5 and is available on Amazon.

We Christians do believe that there will not be another flood as in Noah’s time because God’s word tells us that. However that same bible tells us that Christ will come again as a thief in the night. Matthew 24:44. That basically means no one knows when or what day that will be. 1st. Thessalonians 4:16-17 says the Lord shall decend from heaven with a shout with the voice of the Archangel, and the trump of God; and the dead in Christ will arise first to meet him in the air.
:17 Then we (Christians) which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with him in the clouds to meet our lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the lord.
The question is, are we a Christian? Have we obeyed the gospels? Have we considered Peter’s statement in 1 Peter 3:20? He was referring to how eight people were saved by water in the days of Noah. Then in verse :21 he tells us that even so Baptism now saves us. Not the putting away of the filth of the flesh but the answer to a good conscience toward God by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Galatians 3:27 Paul said for as many of you who as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Acts 2:38 Peter was asked, what shall we do to be saved. He said repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.
Acts 22:16 Ananias asked Saul, why terriers though? Arise and be baptized, and wash away thy sins calling upon the name of the Lord.
With that in mind I don’t believe we can escape our judgement day regardless of what science has ever discovered or ever will discover. Am I ready to meet him when he returns? Something to consider!!!
